Gift-Wrapped: May 2018

Being diagnosed with a brain tumor has been a gift, in certain ways. Firstly, it made me grateful for my life and all the people and animals in it. Secondly, it gave me a sense of urgency to make art that I previously lacked. It continues to surprise me in unpredictable ways as time goes on, and I'll continue to document  these surprises in drawings and comics as I am able. This drawing was my contribution to "Go Grey in May," a campaign to raise awareness of brain cancer using the symbol of a grey ribbon.
